This was a project for my illustration class. The assignment was to place characters in a setting. I decided to show the vicious, disgusted, and concerned tendencies of people responding to a horrifying element, in this case being a decapitated head.
It's a lot easier to see the detail on your blog than other digital means. Somehow the "Mom" seems pretty detached from it all as if she's just serving dinner like always. She might be in such a rut that it's just her role to serve dinner, regardless of what it is. Very June "Cleaver" if you know what I mean.
